Jesus Christ is Truth
Our ward mission statement, Jesus Christ Is Truth, reminds us that truth is not simply an idea or philosophy but a person—our Savior, Jesus Christ. In John 18:38, Pilate asks the question, “What is truth?”—a question still asked in a world filled with competing voices and shifting beliefs. The Savior Himself answers this question in John 14:6 when He declares, “I am the way, the truth, and the life.” Truth is found not only in correct knowledge but in coming unto Christ, trusting Him, and aligning our lives with His teachings.
Understanding truth matters because it shapes how we see ourselves, others, and the world. As Elder David A. Bednar teaches in Things as They Really Are, spiritual clarity comes when we view life through eternal truth rather than temporary or distorted perspectives. When we anchor ourselves in Jesus Christ as truth, we gain direction, peace, and the ability to discern what is real amid confusion. By centering our ward on Jesus Christ as Truth, we seek to build disciples who learn His doctrine, recognize His voice, and live in ways that reflect His reality—allowing His truth to guide our choices, strengthen our faith, and transform our lives

Faith In Jesus Christ
Our ward mission statement, Faith in Jesus Christ, reminds us that faith is the foundation of all gospel principles and the first step in our spiritual journey. Faith in Christ is not merely intellectual belief—it is trust in His teachings and a commitment to act on His guidance in our daily lives. As Alma teaches in Alma 32, faith begins as a seed, small and simple, but when nurtured, it grows into a powerful source of hope, knowledge, and action. Likewise, Doctrine and Covenants 93:24 emphasizes that truth comes through Christ and His gospel, inviting us to seek, receive, and live that truth. By centering our ward on faith in Jesus Christ, we focus on building a community that not only believes in Him but also acts in His name, allowing His teachings to shape our choices, our service, and our lives.
